Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Just like his name, Chocolate is a sweet dog who loves people. Chocolate came to Home Fur Good in January. He has been adopted three times and everyone is rooting for the fourth time to be Chocolate’s charm. Chocolate is a five-year-old, 25-pound Kelpie mix and he is active and an amazing shadow, but he can also play by himself. Chocolate has created a fan club with a few of the volunteers during his stays. They are dedicated to enriching his days while he waits to find his forever home. They have recognized that Chocolate enjoys his walks and rides in the car. Chocolate has been to agility classes and he has mastered the obstacles in a very short time. Unlike some dogs, Chocolate isn't afraid of wheelchairs and other walking aids. Chocolate does have an off button, and he loves to cuddle. He will put his head on your shoulder, but he isn't insistent. He knows some commands and is housebroken and crate trained. Home Fur Good does warn that accidents can happen while a dog learns the rules and routines of a new home. Chocolate would do best with people who are home most of the time and do not have cats. Chocolate has had doggie buddies and he has been known to coexist, but his preference would be to be the only pet in his forever home. Chocolate’s perfect home will be one looking for a devoted, medium-sized shadow. The adoption fee is $225 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm by appointment only.
