Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi I’m Blue! I’m a Pit/Mastiff mix. I'm the sweetest guy you'll ever meet! I was found in Mineral Wells TX, where I had been wandering around for quite some time and I ended up in the shelter. I finally got rescued and then when I went to the vet to get neutered, I found out I was heartworm positive. I have already completed heartworm treatment though! The shelter guessed I’m around 4-5 years of age.
I am a very gentle boy. I love to give kisses, cuddle, and get attention! I love people and all dogs, but I'm not so great around livestock. Another thing I can’t seem to enjoy is car rides so I would prefer to be a homebody. I am fully house trained, but not crate trained. My foster family just lets me hang out freely in the house while they are gone or sleeping because I don’t tend to chew on anything that isn’t mine, EXCEPT shoes.
I will need a family willing to be patient and let me progress at my own pace. Everyone seems to think I’ve had a rough life up until now since I tend to get scared easily or think someone is going to hurt me. For instance, when I first arrived at my foster's home, I had to be picked up to even learn to use stairs and needed help through doorways. So long story short, patience is key until I become accustomed to my new surroundings!
I’m just a big goofy boy, with lots of love to share. Will you choose me to be your new best friend?!
