My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Soos, born in March 2020, is a quiet cat. He loves tummy rubs and is an expert in the 8 paths of yoga. OK, he is not a yogi, but his foster mom has seen him lift both back feet off the ground at once to clean his private parts. He might not be a guru, but he IS squeaky clean gosh-darn-it. Soos likes looking out the window and dreams of being a juke box hero. He also likes to sleep and will hang out by your side while you dream of being a juke box hero.

Soos has a food sensitivity and is fed Royal Canin Ultamino dry cat food, which requires a prescription from the vet. He finishes a 5.5 bag of food in about two months. His food will cost approximately $325 a year. Sometimes food sensitivities disappear when the cat gets older, and sometimes the food sensitivities are with a cat for life. He needs to be on the diet now because off the diet he gets diarrhea and very itchy. If you have other cats, you will need to make sure that he does not eat the other cat's food.

He is neutered and up-to-date on his vaccines.

To adopt you must first complete an adoption application and meet the cat either virtually or in person in its foster home. We do not do same day adoptions so, generally, we can only adopt within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
