Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Available for adoption to experienced dog owners of working/“difficult” dog breeds (I.e German Shepherd Husky, Akita, Heeler, etc)
Name: Snow White
Breed: Purebred German Shepherd
Age: 11 years old
Good with kids: yes
Snow White came to our shelter with her friend named Regina after being seriously neglected by their owner. They spent their lives on a chain where they did not receive the proper care, as well as never experiencing what it was like to be a part of a home and treated as a family member. We are hoping to find someone who is familiar with this breed’s nuances and who will truly love Snow White and give her a second chance at a better life.
Snow White is an independent lady who likes the job of patrolling her grounds. As with many German Shepherd females, she is very confident and self assured. She is protective of her family here at the rescue and is very obedient to her handlers. She loves people and really appreciates walks and a good job to work on. She, also like so many of her breed, needs to have a job to keep from going stir crazy. She is energetic and loves to run. She is a high power dog that requires experience with working breed dogs and as an owner knows and expects the demands of the breed. Snow is a good girl! She rides well in a car and puts up with being brushed. She is good about having her nails trimmed and ears cleaned out. She is gentle about accepting treats. She is a big fan of treats and loves dinner time very much.
