The love and friendship between this bonded pair is enough to make your heart melt, and they're still looking for their forever home. Their story is exactly what you need today!

Part of a hoarding case of 30 cats, Rigsby, female tabby, 7 years old, and Pepe, male tuxie, 10 years old, entered a shelter when their owner died. All the cats were placed in separate cages, and Rigsby and Pepe didn't do well on their own. They were timestamped for euthanasia, and by some twist of fate, ended up being pulled by the same foster mom. On a whim, she allowed them to see each other, doubting they'd remember each other, but within seconds they were bathing and kneading one another and the rest is history.

Both cats are incredibly sweet and very playful. Even though they have shy streaks, they are quickly won over and love attention and treats. They are completely unphased by other cats (probably because of living with so many before). They would do best with an adopter who can spend a lot of time playing with them - they absolutely love wand toys - and giving them affection. Because they can be shy at times, especially Rigsby, they'd need a patient adopter who can go slow in the beginning until they're comfortable. While they're not aggressive, a quieter home without young children would be better since they both seem to be sensitive to noise.
