My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Everyone meet Papa! Papa came to us through a Good Samaritan who found him roaming around the busy intersection of SW 31st & Davie Blvd in Ft. Lauderdale.

We are calling him Papa Because he appeared to be an older boy, and was definitely neglected. Thank god he was found when he was because he was in terrible shape, but is now on the road to recovery. He has a double ear infection, a double Eye infection which needs eyedrops to treat, and he also has hook worms. His heartworm test came back negative which is great news, but his white blood cell count was very low so he won’t be getting neutered as soon as we had hoped. We need him healthy and comfortable before he can have surgery.

Thanks to networking on social media Papa has the best foster and is resting well. This foster is temporary though and can only have him through the end of March.

Papa is about 5 years old, and has obviously not been taken care of. He’s about 45lbs and we are going to give him another couple of weeks of healing and resting before we see how he is with other dogs. We have not had him around other dogs or cats but while on walks he has been non reactive to both. Please reach out to us if you think you can open your heart to Papa!
