My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Goldie is a little ragamuffin who loves to play with dogs and is shy with new humans. She is happiest when she plays and runs with a dog at the rescue named Baby who is not an easy dog and needs a special kind of owner. And we want them to GO TOGETHER...so reading this please note that when you adopt Goldie you also adopt Baby, her best friend a male. Because we are asking that they go together we are asking for SERIOUS inquiries only for a home able to handle the needs of Baby. NO children and active adults please. Goldie is a loving and friendly little dog who also happens to be ADORABLE!
Cuter than the photos. They both thrive on nice words and kind behaviors. Application required. Adoption fee is 450.00 for the pair...they are fully vetted.

Re: adoption fees. MCR is not a 'boutique' rescue; we take in the dogs no one wants, often in terrible condition, with missing fur, one eye and who, to use the old phrase, "only a mother could love". So if you question the adoption fees on our young dogs or our full breeds and puppies, please understand we do that in order to help our many undesirables who need much vet care and stand little chance of leaving. We often take in dogs from people who can not afford surrender fees and are in need of extensive care. Local animal services and humane societies are better "deals" for dogs and we highly recommend your checking those local facilities for wonderful companions. Note too, we are the rare rescue that will take a dog back for any reason at any time.
