Meet Batgirl! This 9-years young svelte and compact superhero came to us after being found as a stray, curled up under some bleachers on a 20-degree day with nothing but a Batman collar. The frigid cold and outdoor elements are no place for a dignified lady and she is soooo happy to be snuggled into her foster home. She’s got some seriously soulful and expressive espresso eyes, and is one heck of a lovey-dovey gal. Batgirl is a sweet and mellow nugget of goodness! She is outgoing, incredibly social, and likes meeting new people. She likes to bounce around the ‘hood (aka Gotham) for leashed walks, but inside she is content to lounge. Batgirl loves to chew and motors right through a bully stick like it is kindling. At the park she has been known to drag out enormous tree branches and start chewing them like a goober. But she hasn’t chewed anything she’s not supposed to. Batgirl can counter surf and jump into an SUV and onto all beds, so she could be younger than originally thought, or simply be in amazing shape for her age. She's good on stairs and is quite peppy outside - runs and bounces. But inside she is happy to chill (on a couch of course!). Her foster mom tried some clicker training with her to see if she liked it, but the sound of the clicker scared her. She likes to train to get her mind working for about 10 minutes before she zones out and is ready to head for the couch for some much deserved snuggle-time. We can’t deny it…this clever and affectionate girl loves to snuggle! If she had her way, she’d be on the couch all day long velcro-ed to one of her humans, until she moved to bed for nighttime cuddles. In fact, she might be allergic to the floor because she much prefers beds, couches, and pillows. She has never met a bed she doesn't like and has literally attempted to get into all the beds in her foster home. Batgirl is housebroken and hasn’t had a single accident in the house. She’ll even bark to let you know she has to go out. She’s great in the car and loves a good ride. She rides in the backseat with her seat belt fastened and sits up nicely or lies down for a nap. She has tested well with dogs, but no known history with them and says no thanks to kitties. Batgirl is looking for a superhero all her own. She very much wants to be a part of the group. She likes to hang with the dog-savvy kids in her foster home and takes treats gently. She would make an excellent best friend for a family or person who will spend all their time loving on her.
