My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 9 years

Spayed, Vaccinated, Microchipped

Adoption Application: http://fuzzypawzrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application-2/

This pretty girl came to Fuzzy Pawz Rescue when her human dad’s life changed and he was no longer able to care for her.

Patches is a super sweet easy going girl who really just wants to spend time with her people. We have found that she is much happier in the company of men – she’s fine with women but gravitates to men. She would not do well with kids under 15 and would prefer to have a quieter lifestyle.

She enjoys napping on the couch with her person; slow walks around the block and playing with her Frisbee or a ball. She is house trained and will also use a dog door and has great house manners. She doesn’t care for car rides but tolerates them since most trips are going to the park for a walk. She is afraid of fireworks and thunderstorms but deals with them better now as she has gotten older.

Patches is okay with other dogs, she has lived with one successfully in the past; however while in foster care we have found that she can be a bit grumpy around other dogs. Patches will also chase cats. Honestly we believe she would prefer to be the only dog or to live with a submissive male.

At her age it is not surprising that she has a bit of arthritis in her senior years; but she still likes to get up and go – it’s just a bit slower now. Patches does have a food sensitivity and needs to eat special dog food, if not on the specialized food she gets ear infections. She is eating Hills Z/D dry dog food and Iams lamb & rice pate from a can.

If you are looking for a sweet and very loyal dog then Patches will be just the right fit.
