My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ: Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable dogs! All dogs listed are still available. If interested, please complete our no obligation application. This can be found at www.waldosmuttleycrew.org. Select the Applications tab, then Adoption Application. THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BEFORE WE CAN START THE PROCESS. It can take up to a week to process an application. We are an all-volunteer rescue so please be patient.

Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative.

E-MAILS: We do not respond to e-mail inquiries without an application. We regret that we cannot respond to every e-mail unless you fill out an application.

All the dogs we offer for adoption have been spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped, are up-to-date on immunizations, have been tested for heartworm and are currently receiving a monthly preventative. If the dog had additional medical issues, those have also been addressed. Visit our website www.waldosmuttleycrew.org for more information and to complete an application.

Aspen is an absolute sweetheart with people and is so gentle. When we
got her, she wasn't really used to being pet and will still cringe a
little with new people until she realizes they are friendly. Then she
will lean right up against them to get ear scratches and chest rubs.
Everyone who meets who talks about what a darling she is! We've
worked with her on leash walking and she is a quick learner! She's so
eager to please. She still needs gentle reminders not to pull (hounds
just can't help themselves when they get a scent) but Aspen does so
well! And she really enjoys walks! If you are a hound lover, you will
go crazy over this girl! Her soft ears & the way she leans against you
when you touch her willl melt your heart! Sadly, Aspen wasn't
socialized with other dogs in her previous life and has no idea how to
interact with them. She just doesn't understand their language. She
gets overly stimulated by most dogs and just overwhelms them and
herself. Aspen either needs to be an only dog (which would suit her
just fine as she loves soaking up all the attention) or else possibly
with a large, confident, playful male. She doesn't have the social
skills needed to interact successfully with other dogs sadly; she never
learned.
Aspen's adoption fee is $175; she's spayed, microchipped and current on
vaccinations as well as monthly heartworm/flea protection.
