My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

People have some serious 'splaining to do about this handsome love still being available. Captain Holt, a formerly beaten and tattered HONKING stray male, he's now enjoying just spending his days lounging around. His big, extra-toed paws will stretch out while he rubs his massive head on a friendly hand. He also enjoys being held and serves as a protective uncle to the younger cats in the colony. Captain Holt is middle-aged (maybe 5-6?) and neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, flea treated, FeLV tested negative, and microchipped. He did test very faint FIV positive which, if not a false positive (which is possible), would just mean he will need to be an indoor cat to reduce his risk of exposure to infections and injuries that he couldn't fight off as well. However he can safely live a long and happy life with other cats, dogs, etc. Interested adopters can set up a time to come meet him and/or fill out an adoption application here: https://secondchanceas.org/adoptables
