Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Has been abused. Possibly tormented. Almost feral but will warm up in a quiet environment and even sleep with a human but has to be her idea. She is extremely fearful of most humans. She does well with other dogs, but I suggest only 1 for a playmate as she does get a bit bossy at times. Great as a watchdog, but does well when inside, just very scared and shy and likes to hide while inside. She does well outdoors and stays in the yard. this is not a dog for a regular person. This is a dog who needs an experienced dog owner who lives alone or with another adult and has few visitors etc. this dog is very capable of giving love and I know if she was in a quiet place with high structure and not a lot of "changes" like here she would eventually be a great dog and she certainly deserves a chance after all she has obviously gone thru. This dog must have a patient person, and a quiet place with little to no changes in environment or visitors. she is trained to a potty pad while she is indoors. She has a very old injury to her from the leg at the elbow. We took to vet to consider amputation due to it being so old of an injury it had virtually locked up but....she still uses this leg! So, we decided to not do the surgery until it really bothers her pain-wise and that is just not happening. She actually will use this leg to "dig herself out" a place in the middle of her blankets and bedding. It does not seem to bother her and she also uses it to "bank off of" during running and playing. At some point on down the line she may need it taken off but now is not te time : )
