My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rocky is a senior lab mix who is as loyal as he is handsome. He seeks direction and guidance from his humans and he listens well. He is potty trained, crate trained, leash trained and basket muzzle trained.

Rocky's foster mom describes him as 'extremely relaxed, chilled out, with a touch of goofy'. He loves to play with his toys, and will often play on his own, throwing his tennis ball around and trying to paw at it as it bounces... like we said, he's kinda goofy!
He loves to play fetch, and he also really enjoys going for his walkies.

Rocky is happy to spend time chilling out in his crate if you need to go out, he has zero issues being left alone. He loves his crate and often takes himself off to his crate to have a snooze.

He is not a super affectionate dog, but as he gets to know and trust you, he is a very loyal boy and starts to show you his love by doing things like lying by your feet, and occasionally gracing your nose with a little kiss! He's quite independent and not at all needy, but he does love his humans.

Rocky takes treats very gently and is very gentle and relaxed over all. We recently discovered that he is a big fan of fruit, particularly mango!

Rocky can become friends with other dogs his size when the introductions are done thoughtfully and slowly. He gets along well with his foster sibling, Floki, a younger golden retriever.

Rocky is 8 years, 70lbs. He has advanced training needs, and needs a home with no children under age 16 as well as no small animals. Further details and professional training support will be provided to those who apply. Please visit www.liveloveanimalrescue.org to fill out an adoption application.
