4 of 2-month-old Border Collie mix puppies were abandoned in front of Aerinwon shelter. Someone left them in a box. They grew up with 1,200 other dogs in the shelter and 3 of her siblings were adopted except JK.
LCJ and our partner rescue decided to find her a forever home before she is fully grown up. Our partner rescue found a foster home for JK and it was the first time JK was out in the real world from the shelter. She was scared of everything for the first few days. People, other dogs, and noises.... The scariest for her was a mirror. She barked and growled at the reflection of herself in the mirror.
However, we have never seen a dog learn as fast as JK.
The foster family started working on her fear of the mirror and walking manner. Everyday, JK made a lot of progress and now JK is not that afraid of strangers. She even enjoys sitting in front of the mirror. It took just 5 days to overcome what she was afraid of. (She still doesn’t like hair dryers.)

She learned quickly ‘turn’, ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, and ‘hand’.

The foster mom describes her as gentle, calm, and smart but also playful. She lets children pet her and plays with other dogs during walks, showing good manners.

She is still a puppy who likes chewing and running in the park and she doesn’t get tired easily as a young puppy.
JK still needs to learn lots of things but she will learn quickly. You can see more her photos and videos on her instagram page @jaek_brn

She is coming to Toronto on Feb 8th. The adopting parent must pick her up at the airport on the day of arrival. The adoption fee is $800 firm, which includes tax, inspection fee for both airports, porter fee and tip.
