Say hello to Karen! You know, Karen... the one who never shuts up, is always complaining about something, and tries to bite everyone she doesn’t like (which is just about everyone)? Yeah. Her.
Karen was surrendered to a local shelter when her elderly owner could no longer care for her. She wasn’t adjusting well to the shelter life, so they asked if we could take her into our foster program. When we first met this little girl, we considered naming her Cujo. Inside of the crate, she bared her teeth and growled like a demon! Once we got her into her foster home, she warmed up over a few days and finally let her foster mom love on her. Now she loves her foster momma!
Karen is going to require a special home. There will be absolutely no exceptions... the following are *must haves*.
1) NO KIDS. They are annoying and Karen will bite them.
2) A low traffic home. If you have lots of visitors over, Karen IS NOT the dog for you. She hates new people.
3) Must have a fenced yard — she loves to play outside!
4) Must have another playful dog.
5) Must have unconditional, never ending patience. Karen is NOT going to like you initially, not even a little bit. She will warm up to you on HER terms. Once you earn her trust though, you will be golden.
Karen has severe separation anxiety and always wants to be with her person, day or night. She is housebroken.
Karen is currently in a foster home in West Tennessee. If you are interested in adding her to your family, please complete an application at www.goofyfootrescue.org.
