My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET FRANCINE!

This 12 year old creamsicle-colored girl was brought to Philly's animal control shelter as a stray in Fall of 2020. She had some serious dental issues going on and needed to find placement with a rescue who could help her with her medical issues in order to have a second chance at life. A City of Elderly Love foster family happily provided her a place to lay her head while looking for the perfect home!

If you’re looking for someone to rule your roost, Francine might be your gal! She’s a sassy lady who likes to get what she wants and won’t keep you guessing. She’ll tell you exactly what that is! Francine’s favorite things are meals, snacks, and nap time. She can be playful, but keep your hands to yourself. She’s perfectly capable of catching the red dot or catnip fish on her own. Francine has been described as “confident” and “independent”. She can carry a conversation like nobody’s business and will tell you all about her day when you come home from work, but she isn't a cuddly cat who enjoys many pets - maybe a head scratch here and there. She'd make a great roommate for someone who wants the companionship of a cat but doesn't expect or want an in-your-face cat. While she's living with other animals in her foster home, she’s never really welcomed the company of the other cats. She doesn’t seem to mind the pug though, as long as he remains out of arm’s reach.

Francine is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is also FIV/FeLV negative and also received a dental cleaning with extractions.
