My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TOGO is a one-and-a-half-year-old affectionate and playful young boy. He is very bonded and loving with his people. He enjoys going for car rides, playtime, splashing or baths in the kiddy pool, and taking shady walks. TOGO LOVES sun bathing, playing with his toys and belly rubs. This mostly low-energy boy (with puppy excitement) loves to curl up with you and be by your side.
TOGO is a sensitive soul who is curious and excited about new things; he requires guidance and structure to feel relaxed and calm in new situations. TOGO has made great progress in self soothing his puppy like excitement. He is very smart, and is a quick learner when he has a patient teacher.
Togo would love a stable environment where his parent(s) can give him clear instruction, boundaries and routine so he can grow up to be the best dog he can be! It takes a couple of meetings to build trust with a new person, and then you are part of his pack and he loves you forever.
TOGO’s Foster has been working from home where he gets LOTS of attention, though he is calm and content when crated. In his foster home he is doing very well with a peaceful, structured environment. He is learning his manners like “place”, stop and wait at the house/car door, sit for the leash, and sit/wait and do tricks for his food. Togo is crate and, leash trained, and can stay on “place” well.
TOGO went to board and train to learn to be a well-mannered puppy. His trainer said TOGO is very sweet, smart, attentive and was even a “helper” dog! Before Togo was rescued, he was in a chaotic home with no guidance or structure, so the trainer advises a mellow home where Togo can continue to learn the human world with guidance and routine.
TOGO would love a home with one or two adults, who he can bond with. He would enjoy a secure fenced yard where he can sunbathe, play and do the occasional zoomie. TOGO would like a home in or close to Ventura County so his trainer can continue to work with him and his adopters. No children for now, so he can have a calm environment. Togo can be happy with another friendly matched-energy dog or in a one dog home. Cats are unlikely mates for Togo.
A lucky adopter is going to hit the jackpot with Togo as the most loving, fun and devoted furever friend!
