Elvis checked into Camp Chaos after his family asked us to take him & get him healthy. He was literally skin & bones, weighing 6 lbs at 8 wks old on 9/19/09. His guess-timate birthday is July 14th, 2009. Captain Chaos continues to tell him, "Think Dachshund thoughts, Elvis!" But Commander Chaos whispers in his ear, "You want to be a big boy, Elvis, keep growing!"
This sweet boy has thrived in an environment of love, affection, & discipline. While he only complains for the first 3-7 minutes after being put in a crate, he doesn't mind it too bad. BUT he is such a perfect sleeping partner, he typically sleeps in the big bed with us. Quickly he goes to sleep and then he sleeps the entire night without having to go potty until 5-7am when we awake for the day. To be such a young boy, he is super-duper good with housetraining. While wandering around the living room at home, if he has to go potty, he will run as fast as he can for the back door, as if the need slipped up on it & he has to get there post haste to refrain from pottying inside.
Thanks to good nutrition & vet care, he's not that tiny anymore. Elvis' mom weighs about 50 lbs & is a golden shepherd mix. We expect Elvis to be anywhere from 35 lbs to 60 lbs, with apologies for such a wide gap, but it is our best guess based on his current size & his mother's size. Father is unknown but assume he's a lab based on Elvis' thick & fluffy black coat of silkiness; it's even getting some waviness along his back.
Preference will be given but is not guaranteed to adopters involved with dog training classes, doggie day care, those who work from home, have homes with a fenced in back yard, currently have dog(s). We will adopt him only to the most attentive & involved of families.
Elvis has incredibly sharp baby teeth & enjoys chewing since he's teething. Small children would not be best around our little man being as such.
He is current on his vaccinations & wormer. Elvis will be neutered & finish a 3rd round of vaccinations prior to adoption. If not neutered, there is an additional check for $50 that is refundable to the adopter once proof of neuter is provided.
All of the Camp Chaos dogs are indoor dogs with outdoor privileges. There are no exceptions. Thank you for understanding.
