Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Sunni! Sunni is a 1 year old, 30 pound ray of sunshine. Here’s what Sunni needs:
-A fenced yard! Sunni has a bit of a prey drive and likes to chase after birds, squirrels, etc. She also has quite a bit of energy and needs a yard where she can safely get that energy out, playing chase with another dog or running after frisbees or balls.
-An owner with Aussie/herding breed experience! She is a typical Aussie: extremely intelligent and needs an outlet for her physical and mental needs. She learns commands & tricks quickly and loves using snuffle mats and treat puzzles. She enjoys going for walks, getting her sniffs in, and would excel at classes such as agility or obedience.
-An owner with patience! Sunni has some reactivity issues while on leash that her foster family has been working on. She’s made vast improvements, but still needs consistent training, as this can take a bit of time to work through. An adopter should be willing to attend classes or consult with a trainer, if necessary. She also has some separation anxiety and barks, so an apartment would not be the best option for her.
Sunni would thrive having another playful dog sibling to play with. She does not have much experience with cats, but an adopter with a dog-savvy cat may be considered, if they’re willing to introduce slowly. She’s a velcro Aussie and extremely sweet, with no understanding of personal space! She’s learning to find her “off” switch and is content chewing bones and napping on the couch after getting energy out. She is house trained, crate trained, and knows her basic commands but is working on learning more fun ones, too. Sunni is being fostered in North Carolina, and a meet & greet is required.
