Update: 5/25/21
Elmer is still waiting. He is a quiet sweet guy. He loves to be petted and will reach up to "tap tap" your arm when you are watching TV to ask for attention. Elmer has one cloudy eye from a long ago eye infection before he came to SOS but we think he is still absolutely gorgeous. He has one bright white whisker that really stands out and is so cute! He likes to hang out with Pete and watch Cat TV

Elmer is from a group of 6 cats that needed to be surrendered to SOS.
Unfortunately, their owner passed away after a battle with cancer. She had previously been a great advocate for abandoned and stray neighborhood cats, taking in strays and providing vet care such as spay/neuter surgeries and vaccines. At the end of her battle with cancer she just wanted to know her "babies" would be cared for and be going to safe, warm, loving, indoor homes. Elmer and Pete are pretty close and it would be great to keep the boys together. Elmer's personality is cautious at first, but then he head bumps and taps you with his paw for attention. He is a smaller male, very personable. Elmer is in a foster home with other kitties and dogs. He's been vet checked, wormed, tested, and is now good and healthy .Elmer's cloudy eye is due to a previous eye infection before he came to SOS. (scar tissue) He has no continuing issues with it.
