My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Allow me to introduce Biggie Boy. He is VERY affectionate and enjoys his humans; his little eyes roll back when his neck is rubbed.
When we pull in the drive, he comes from where ever he may be to meet us at the car, and he always comes when he is called. He adjusted beautifully to his new surroundings upon arrival. He gets along really well with the other cats and the dogs. He also adores my toddler; anytime she enters the room the will begin meowing loudly and purring until she pets him. It’s very cute to watch.

Biggie is considered special needs since he was diagnosed as having Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). For those unfamiliar or unsure, FIV is a slow virus which depletes the number of white blood cells, which can make the cat less able to fight off infection over a period of years. However, many FIV positive cats enjoy a NORMAL lifespan with no apparent health problems resulting from the virus. FIV is species specific, so can only be transmitted from cat to cat, and not to humans or other animals. It is not easily passed from cat to cat, and it CANNOT be transmitted indirectly, such as on food & water bowls, litter boxes, clothes, hands, or when snuggling and playing. The virus can be spread through blood transfusions, badly infected gums, or serious, penetrating bite wounds (wounds of this kind are extremely rare, except in free roaming, un-neutered tomcats).

Biggie Boy is a loving cat who deserves a forever home. He is neutered, current on his rabies vac, heartworm/ flea protection, and litter trained. He is approximately 3 years old.

Animals are unprotected in labs all over the world; most suffer and die in tests that are unnecessary and beneficial to no one.
Procter and Gamble, makers of Iam’s pet food, torture and kill thousands of animals annually for their products.
Please educate yourself on which charities, universities, and companies still parpicate in animal testing, or contact PETA for a listing.
