Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Scout is only 5 months old (as of 1/2021), but this little baby has a big personality! We’ve had him neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped and dewormed. Here is what his foster mom says about him: “He’s got a big attitude and can rough and tumble with the best of them! He seems to like all dogs and people. He’s got so much energy it would be good if he went somewhere with another dog to help tire him out, or very active owners! He does love to snuggle when he gets worn out. We’ve kept him in his crate routine for sleeping and he does well with that. However, he really shouldn’t go somewhere he will need to be crated most of the day because I think that sets off his anxiety, because he was crated for soooo long with his previous owner. On the rare occasion I’ve had to crate him during the day to run to a Dr. appointment and he freaks out a bit.” Scout’s adopter needs to be home most of the day. He’s a baby and way too young to be by himself. He needs attention, training, love, patience and exercise. Also, if you can’t jog and move around pretty well then he is not the dog for you. You never know when you may have to chase him around the house/yard because he has your keys, wallet, shoe, underwear, etc. in his mouth!! Scout MUST HAVE a securely fenced yard. Jack Russells are notorious for being escape artists! NO chain link as he can climb right up it. NO electronic fencing as he runs through it. NO wrought iron. Please DO NOT apply if you do not meet the fence requirements; your application will NOT be considered. A home visit will be done to check your fence. We also want him to have another dog to play with. He is too rough for any sort of small dogs...his playmate needs to be over 15 pounds. And, a female is best. Scout requires a home with no cats and no kiddos. He will not do well in an apartment. We will not ship him to his new home. His adopter must be able to drive to the Fayetteville, Arkansas area to get him. We will adopt him in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana or Oklahoma only. Scout’s adoption fee is $325. If you are interested in him and meet the adoption requirements please fill out the online adoption application at www.russellrescue.com. Contact: jamesejolley@gmail.com
