Hello! My name is Blue. I was brought to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona by my former keeper after my owner passed away. My Intake Profile will tell you about why they could not keep me, and hopefully you’ll learn a good chunk of other useful stuff about me and my past. Sometimes, not that much is known, but in any case here I am! They kindly brought me to the HSSAZ so that I could have a great chance at being adopted to a new home that will hopefully be my final stop!

Because my so much of my background is unknown, I am in need of a home that is willing to help me learn the ropes! I may know many things or I may need to be taught. I may have lived with kids and other dogs or I may have not! Unfortunately, I can’t say.

My friends at the shelter suggest that I meet any children and require I meet any other dogs in the home to ensure I will be comfortable and safe in that environment. If you have a cat I will need a very slow introduction since I am unsure what a cat is or if I like them.

The shelter staff has assessed from my interactions with them that I am most like an Energizer Buddy. I am looking for a hiking partner! I like to go and go, so let’s move together. Teach me to fetch, show me a job to do, or keep me busy with some nose-work: anything that will use up some of my bountiful energy! After a day with some exercise and stimulation, I’ll be ready for some dinner before I curl up at your feet to relax.
