Miss Puggles is a 3 yr old English Bulldog who hasnt has the most stable past but we at ODAAT are making sure that changes for her. She has been in the safety and love of the ladies at the Doggie Lodge in Cresson PA since she came in to rescue. They have been learning her personality and now that she is spayed we feel she is ready for the perfect home! First and foremost she needs an adopter with EBD breed knowledge. This breed is prone to many skin and breathing issues and is not for the first time dog owner. We also feel she needs to be the only dog in the home. She would prefer to soak up all the love herself and not share her humans. There is really no rhyme or reason to which dogs she is tolerant of and which ones she is not so its safest she is the Queen the of her home. This personality also needs to be noted if an applicant has visitors that bring dogs to their home. No dog visitors is best. She has been kid tested with children 5 and over and did fantastic! Puggles is a perfect lady when taking treats and getting fed. She gets extremely excited when she goes for car rides and likes to be all over the place so to be safe, she should be tethered in the car. She does well on leash but needs to be harnessed to prevent the strain on her neck/throat from a regular leash. When Miss Puggles initially meets someone she is reserved at first but once she gets comfortable and excited she can be a bit jumpy at times. She does redirect with commands and then will sit and give you a wave. Continued at home obedience and training is a must with her. She rarely has accidents in her kennel anymore so we feel house training will be an ease with determination.
