REY
2 years old
Rey is a young adult female. Her past is not well known because she was found as a stray with her kittens.
From the very beginning, she was very social with people, which makes us think that she was abandoned. Her story began when she started visiting our house one day. We started to care for her with the plan of finding her a home. One day, she shows up with her kittens! With the kittens all grown up, it is her turn to find a forever home.
Since moving in with us, she has transitioned very well from stray cat to house cat. We assume that she was at some point cared for by people because the transition was quick. She loves attention, particularly scratches around the neck, and has found a fondness for soft towels in chairs and, most recently, sofas . Since her kittens have left, she has discovered play time and loves to chase string and mice toys. Her new home would have plenty of windows to look out of so that she can watch the world from her perch and nap in the sunshine. Even though she enjoys being loved, she doesn't appreciate being held. She will tolerate it for short moments, but will kindly insist on being put down. She would rather sit next to you in a chair or on the sofa so that she can stretch out while getting a back scratch. That’s her favorite, she loves back rubs; especially ones that stretch from head to tail. Rey does not have experience with children, but we assume she would like older children who would know when to give her space and when she wants attention. She is not a fan of dogs and would do better without them.
