My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Juno came to us after a tractor-trailer accident in October 2020. She, along with multiple other horses, was on the way to slaughter when the trailer overturned in the rain. Juno was one of the surviving horses who came to Longmeadow, where she had her wounds treated and began rehabilitation!

After the accident, Juno spent several months at the ranch having some well-deserved downtime. She was restarted slowly by our trainer and showed amazing potential. She was calm and level-headed, not to mention beautiful! She went to a few schooling shows with our trainer and her team and had positive experiences. She was adopted in 2021 but returned in Spring of this year due to no fault of her own.

Juno is now back in our training program after her adopter explained that she developed some vices under saddle that she had not previously shown. We are looking into medical/physical reasons as to why her behavior is changing.
But don’t let this sway your opinion of this beautiful girl! Juno has wonderful ground manners and a fun personality. She enjoys the company of both people and other horses here at the Ranch. Our trainer believes she will do best with an advanced rider who intends to put her into a consistent work program of 4-5 days per week. In 2024 Juno had her right eye removed by a veterinarian, due to repeated painful infections in the eye. Juno has adjusted very well to being blind on the right side. This 15.3hh thoroughbred would benefit both mentally and physically from constant turnout in her new home as well.
