Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Abby is a 9-year-old Chihuahua gal, with just three legs! Her hearing is slipping, and her vision is not perfect - but she makes up for it all with sweetness and love. She loves to be part of the action and you’ll find her under your feet hoping to be a part of what’s happening! We are looking for a very special home for Abby, as she does have special needs. Abby suffers from bronchial malacia- which basically is narrowing of her bronchial tubes, causing her to cough. We are working closely with our vets to determine her long-term medicine dosages, but she will require lifelong medicine. Her new family must be committed to providing these for her (she is currently on two medications and we are happy to go over cost with you). She is in need of a dental and some other minor surgeries (which we will also discuss to potential new family), but our vets do not feel anesthesia would be safe (due to her bronchial condition). She requires soaked dog food to help her gooble up meals! Her potty habits can be regular if you take her out when she wakes up, her foster is working with her and her new family would need patience to continue this process. We want to find Abby a family looking for a very special girl, who needs very special care. She deserves to be pampered and fawned over in her golden years. We would love to hear from you if you feel you would like to welcome Abby in to your home, please fill out an application on our website aaprescue.org. Abby is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, had a heart worm test, on heartworm preventative, had a fecal, and microchipped. Abby’s adoption fee is $200.00
