Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mia is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home.
Mia was surrendered by her owner to a fast to kill, small town, dog pound. She was so terrified in the pound, but once we got her home she turned into a happy little girl. Mia looks like a rat terrier/pug mix. She is young, probably around a year old, and weighs 17 pounds. Mia is shy around new people until she gets to know them, and then she turns into a sweet and loving little girl. Some of our big dogs have been mean to her, so she only prefers the company of other small dogs. She really hasn't started to play yet, but she really loves pets and treats. We think she would do best in a quiet home without a lot of noise and ruckus.
Mia is crate trained and waits to be put in her crate every night. She is still apprehensive about going outside without a human, so she needs some work with housetraining. She will use the pee pads. Mia is otherwise very well behaved in the house. We think that further socialization is important. A noisy city might be too much for her and we think she would do better in a quiet neighborhood. Mia is a small dog. She must be protected from rough treatment and big dogs that can hurt her. He must also be protected from outdoor predators and large raptors that would consider her dinner. Mia must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and would like a securely fenced yard to run and play.
Mia is healthy. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and is receiving monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Mia has a $500.00 adoption fee which includes ground transport via Rescue Road Trips for pickup in Washington or New Stanton PA. She is being fostered in Texas and will not be sent north until after she is adopted.
