My story

Hi! My name is Maya. I’m a young mother dog who was thankfully rescued off the streets in the Middle East with my pups. Living as a stray in Oman is a dangerous place. People can be very cruel and everyday I faced starvation, dehydration, and was at risk of being poisoned or shot. My pups and I were rescued and are now looking for homes in the US! I will be arriving to DC soon. I’m a sweet, happy, energetic girl, with a pretty smile. I’m good with other dogs and would love to have a family that would like to snuggle and play with me. I’m still learning how to leash walk, so a fenced yard would be best for me. I’m up to date on vaccines and will be spayed and microchipped after my arrival to DC.
