Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi I'm Minnie! I'm about 5 [to 6] yr old beagle hound mix [weighing it at about 40 pounds]. I know I'm a cutie! I'm in foster care now and I have made so much progress since being with my foster mom. I have gotten off antidepressants and my anxiety level has lowered significantly. Every day I'm becoming more and more balanced dog.
My foster mom says that I'm excitable, loving, sweet, stubborn at times but who isn't 😉. I'm am house trained and walk well on a lease and I'm crate trained. I know basic commands like sit, stay and come. I also am highly food motivated, which is great for training!
I need a home with other dogs to show me the house rules. I love other dogs and want playmates. I can't be with cats or chickens since I have a high prey drive.
Since I've been returned once by potential adopters we are making it mandatory that you work with my trainer for a couple free sessions at your home to get me adjusted to my new forever home.
As amazing as I am and would be a fantastic addition to your family, I need time, patience, structured living, and understanding that at I still get a little nervous but it's workable. Please consider adding me to your family. If interested, please contact my rescuer Bev at trampsrescue @yahoo.com or 804-248-3042.
