~~~~~~~FOSTER TO ADOPT ONLY~~~~~~~~

(Nashville, TN) Supra is ready for his "Foster to Adopt" home. Supra is 5 years old and was diagnosed with Discospondylitis in October that caused him to be paralyzed in his back end. This was caused by pure neglect. After medication and therapy he is now able to walk, even run. However, he still requires medication every 8 hours due to the intensity of the infection in his back. Supra is also on a slow kill HW method as he can't have the immiticide injections. He has his follow up with UTK on Feb 19th and should be released in regards to his Discospondylitis! He is doing AMAZING! He is also neutered and vaccinations and preventatives are UTD.

All food and medical, including supplements and preventatives, will be paid by the rescue until he is 100% at which point adoption will take place. We would like him to settle down with his forever family as soon as possible as the longer they are with their foster, the harder the transition. We just simply will not finalize adoption until he is 100% with his Discospondylitis and HW Negative.

Supra is the the most LOVING boy you will ever meet! His tail wags with so much appreciation at times I think he is going to take off like a helicopter. Supra has been inro'ed to dogs on leashes ONLY and done very well. Both dogs he met were low energy, very balanced with excellent social skills. Supra wouldn't do well with a high energy dog. He will need to go to a home with a small or medium dog with fair energy due to the sensitivity of his back (or no dogs; NOT because of behavior but due to his back). Supra LOVES car rides, walks, toys and especially chin scratches. This boy LOVES life regardless of what he has gone through. I've never had a happier foster in my home despite what he has suffered.

He will need a home with mostly carpet to avoid the slip and sliding. I've had to place rugs on the wood and tile floor to help him. I know this is a lot to take on for an adoptive animal but the love you will get in return is multiplied by infinity. He just wants a human to love and be with; he needs to be with his human. And these medical issues will not be forever! Please give him a chance to love you!
