Everest is a mixed breed dog (no, we are not sure what she is mixed with) who is about 1 year old and weighs 40 pounds. She is a happy, active, friendly girl who still has a lot of puppy ways! She has worked hard on housetraining and almost has it down. Everest has a ton of energy and would be happiest in a home with a yard and at least one other dog to play with. She also needs basic training and a structure as she can be overwhelming when she gets too excited. Therefore, we do not think she would be great around small kids. She lives for games and toys and is super smart! She would be an excellent hiking partner and is always up for adventure!

Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
