Roger was labeled a stray, but he doesn’t know the meaning of the word. He thought he was just traveling about smelling the world. He has handsome tri-color markings associated with a typical beagle look, yet he has something that sets him apart—a thin white dash on his head. This lean, 30 lb, beagle didn’t know to be afraid of mosquitoes, but he should have been, because one infected him with heart-worms. At a youthful 2 years old, he was too busy just enjoying life. He has gone through the long heart-worm treatment with flying colors and his final checkup says now he's heart-worm free.
Happy-go-lucky Roger is ready to enter his next adventure—having a place of his own where he will be cherished. Maybe you will be the person to make that his reality. You can see in his eyes that he is ready to learn the best manners and be the most awesome companion anyone can ask for. His insecurity comes out a little at first, but doesn’t last long. He can't keep his bright side tramped down. It bursts forth like a sunny spring morning.
The ideal home for him would have a fenced area and people who have plenty of time to play and cuddle with him. He is companionable, so another dog would likely make him a happy boy. When he met the cats here, he behaved well.
Roger is waiting to make your scent the most important one in the world to him.
