Here's what the humans have to say about me:
George and Cheddar were surrendered to our county's local animal control facility because their person was moving into assisted living. We were able to save them just in the nick of time (on their deadline day) because a wonderful couple offered to foster them. George is 15 years old and has a growth on his head and Cheddar is 10 years old. They will be seen by a vet on 12/22/2020 for full exams, bloodwork, shots and we will have George's growth examined at that time.
Both boys settled into their foster home fairly quickly so we're sure they were missing their person and just happy to be in a home again and be petted and loved on. They are sweet, silly and they like sitting in laps.
We are now on the search for a quiet low-activity permanent home (preferably with no other animals) where these boys can live out the rest of their days together. We will consider an adoptive home or a lifetime foster home. A lifetime foster home arrangement is almost exactly like adopting with just a couple of small differences.
- While George and Cheddar would live in a permanent (foster) home they would remain Paws4Life, Inc. cats (a contract with details would be in place).
- The foster home would provide the basics (litter, food, toys, etc.) just as they would if they had adopted the boys, while Paws4Life, Inc. would cover all medical expenses for the rest of the boys' lives. (the rescue could also help with the basics if foster home needed help).
