Here's what the humans have to say about me:
BAXTER ADOPTED
Baxter is a big, big boy with a huge heart and loves people. Baxter is about 4 years old and 76 pounds.
Baxter seems to have lived a life without much care in the past. He was emaciated and very fearful when we first brought him into Lone Star. He has turned around completely with lots of love, good food and structure. Now he is happy in his big kennel and his fearfulness is completely gone. Baxter has learned that people are kind and caring, so there is nothing to worry about. He LOVES to jump up and "give hugs" to his people, that can knock you over if you are not watching!
Baxter will do best in an active, adult home with a fenced yard. He is house trained and crate trained, too. We think he will be better in a home without young children. We are looking for a family with large dog experience for Baxter. He gets along very well with the other Labs in his foster home. Baxter is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He has put on weight and is a healthy boy!
If you are interested in meeting Baxter, complete an adoption application. Applicants must live in the DFW area. See our web site for information on our adoption process. Baxter's adoption fee is $295 + tax. www.LoneStarLabRescue.org
