Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATED BIO 12/11/2020: Sweet Abby has been in her foster home just a few days, but long enough for foster mom and dad to know that she is a very sweet-natured little princess. Abby was surrendered to UYR along with her doggie friends Zoe and Tommy. Their owner loved them a lot, but was no longer able to care for them and wanted them to have a better life.
Abby has seen the vet and had her vaccinations updated, as well as a much-needed nail trim and also labs. She has fleabite dermatitis and has lost a lot of her hair from scratching, but it will grow up back in nicely now that she is flea-free. She will have a dental on Tuesday and will likely lose some teeth. Abby did have a bacterial infection in both of her ears and skin, and will be on Clavamox for 10 days to clear this up.
Foster mom has discovered that Abby does not like car rides, but she is very dog friendly since she has grown up with other dogs - she needs a companion dog close to her age and size in her forever home. She needs some reinforcement in both the leash training and house-training and her foster parents are working with her on this. She will bark to get your attention, but settles down nicely and is sleeping through the night.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
- Due to Abby's small size, she can only be adopted into an adult-only home. No exceptions will be made.
- Abby absolutely needs a companion dog in her adoptive home close to her age and size. Please keep this in mind before applying to adopt Abby.
