My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sandye has a rather sad past but already has a happy future and is happy now and loves to run and be goofy. She gets along great with humans and dogs and recently returned AGAIN for reasons justifiable and nothing to do with Sandye, she seems in even better spirits and even better adjusted. Used to breed in AG, Sandye spent the first years of her life on a farm, never really a family pet. At a young age she was a mother then given up because her owners were moving and decided to keep a puppy instead of loyal Sandye. Her skin was in bad shape but much improved now and her behavior can be a little odd due to a recessive gene and part of her make up. She is deaf but understands some hand signals and is always alert. Her demeanor is friendly and she responds well to humans. If left alone she can bark so she needs to have things going on around her. The owner was told she was a Doberman and people who know the breed think Red Doberman. Her temperament is great and she is fun to have around. We get a kick out of Sandye. She takes all kinds of things in to her dog house like a hoarder or a bird building a nest! Sandye is good to go to a fantastic home where she can hike and run and receive the TLC she needs and deserves. She lived for a year with a large husky mix and a loving owner who died. Sandye stays outside or inside at the rescue, but lately has been coming in more. Once in a while she still gets confused in the house training department but is greatly improved. .
