Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hera is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home.
Hera and her puppies were dumped in a small rural community on the Texas Coast. The man that found them turned them into their fast kill dog pound and we rescued them from there. Hera is one of the best dogs ever. She appears to be a pure breed German Shepherd. Her ears are floppy and she has a very long tail that touches the ground, but she is a German Shepherd in every other way. We think she is around 2 years of age and she now weighs 75 pounds. Hera is a very sweet, gentle, and submissive (to humans) dog. She loves human attention, barking at squirrels, and playing with other dogs. She can be a German Shepherd with certain other dogs - meaning she may try to intimidate them, but she is never aggressive. Hera was obviously mistreated by her previous owners, she even cowers at a raised voice, so she must be handled very gently. Hera is an absolutely wonderful, sweet dog. She is crate trained and house trained (but she does not need to be crated). She also knows how to sit, she likes to give paw, and she likes to wedge her nose under your arm when she wants attention or pets. Hera must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and would like a securely fenced yard to run and play.
Hera is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and receiving monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Hera has been treated for heartworms and is now heartworm free. Hera has a $600.00 adoption fee which includes ground transport via Rescue Road Trips for pickup in Washington or New Stanton PA. She is being fostered in Texas and will not be sent north until after she is adopted.
