Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Calling all German Shepherd lovers: Xanna (pronounced Zanna) is a 10 year old, 60 lb. female German Shepherd. Xanna was surrendered because her person, who now requires oxygen, could no longer care for her; with winter coming her person wanted Xanna to have a warm place to sleep at night and now calls the shelter every day to check on her. Xanna definitely has a warm place to sleep now with a comfortable bed, but anyone can tell what Xanna wants most of all is a person or people to love. This gal is a champion snuggler and will gently approach and seek you out for hugs and tickles even if you are standing on the other side of the play yard fence. Xanna understands the value of an unhurried pace; she knows it’s the simple things in life that matter: a couple of square meals a day, a bit of daily, low key exercise, quiet people to love, and a safe, soft, warm place to land at the end of the day. Xanna is housebroken; she may be selective about other dogs; we aren’t sure what she thinks of cats. All of that being said, if you’re someone who sees “gold” instead of “old” in Xanna’s lovely face, please contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center on Facebook, call 814-918-2032, or email: contactus@Tricounty-arc.org
