Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Behold! Just look at his figure! What a fine lookin' hound he is!
Flash is a 4 year old coonhound who doesn't have a knack for coonhunting! He's obviously been well fed and his owner cared enough to give him the chance to be a family pet....so he came to us. Flash is good with other dogs and loves people. He has been kept outside so he will need a family who is focused on housetraining and teaching him the finer skills of being a real part of a family. Flash is a good boy and we know that he will try hard and learn fast! He really is too much for small children. He'll knock them over like bowling pins! He is hard to walk on leash so a fenced in yard life will make life so much easier for his new family!
Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
