Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PLEASE READ BELOW ON PRICING AND DELIVERY BEFORE CONTACTING US. WE RESPOND FIRST TO THOSE WHO INDICATE THEY HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND PRICING AND DELIVERY. Thank you!!
Benny is a gregarious little Pug who is 11 months old and weighs 18.9 pounds. He loves snacks, walks, toys, car rides, and to snuggle close. He is neutered, up to date on shots, tested heartworm negative, and microchipped with free registration. He comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from his veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. Our dogs also come with free 30-days of health insurance which reimburses you for any vet you use for illnesses and injuries which commence during that period, as per the directions in the flier which comes in your adoption packet.
Due to social distancing and lockdowns, and in full compliance with the regulations relating to same, we will deliver directly to the family which first places an exclusive hold deposit as set out below, arriving on Saturday, December 5, in the Chicago/Northern IL area along our route. He may also be picked up at the PetSmart in Oak Creek, WI (320 W. Town Square Way, Oak Creek, WI 53154, on Saturday afternoon, December 5, usually arriving around 3-4 pm.
Benny is one of a select few of our rescues whom we believe are purebred or a popular designer blend which we adopt out at a near market rate in order to use those funds to finance our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we prepare, transport and adopt out in the northern United States. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis (due mostly to our temperate weather where strays breed year-round and don’t tend to perish due to cold weather.) The oil crash, combined with the COVID-19 situation, has made pet homelessness even more dire in South Texas.
His adoption fee is $1500 firm. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $500, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The adopter will receive a donation form for tax purposes as the adopter sees fit, since a component of the fee is a donation to help fund our transport and adoption of more dogs, puppies, cats and kittens from Texas. The balance is due upon delivery. Should you find that he is not a good fit for your family, we are happy to take him back in and refund the entire $1500 upon his return. We can either pick him up on our next trip up, or we can connect you with a foster family to whom you may return him.
If you are serious about making an exclusive hold deposit, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com or text or call 832-338-7041. We take payments through Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, or we can take card numbers over the phone and process them through Square. All of these methods provide a receipt. Holds are handled on a first-come, first-served basis with respect to the first person to place an exclusive hold deposit as instructed by the rescue. Once you have made the deposit, it is refundable so long as you show up to meet the dog on the agreed date. Prior notification of an intended no-show/non-delivery does not constitute showing up.
