Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mandy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home.
Mandy was saved from a fast kill, small-town dog pound. She is a Labrador retriever mixed with maybe an Australian Cattle Dog. She is young, probably around a year of age, and weighs 45 pounds. Mandy is a very smart, outgoing, active, sweet, and playful girl. She is outgoing and likes a lot of love and human attention. Mandy is active and needs lots of play and exercise. She is a good dog that needs training and guidance from someone experienced with working breeds. Her family must not be pushovers that let her take charge. Mandy tries to be the alpha with other dogs but does back down when challenged. Because she is a herding breed, she does try to nip on occasion...especially when trying to get other dogs to play. Not all dogs appreciate this type of play. During her cat test, she was curious but showed no aggression or desire to chase them. It might be possible to train her to coexist with a cat. Mandy is fairly well behaved in the house, but she is still young and shouldn't be completely trusted yet. She definitely needs more obedience training. Mandy is crate trained and appears to be house trained (no guarantees). Mandy must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and would like a securely fenced yard to run and play.
Mandy is healthy. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She is negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea preventative. Mandy has a $500.00 adoption fee which includes ground transport via Rescue Road Trips for pickup in Washington or New Stanton PA. She is being fostered in Texas and will not be sent north until after she is adopted. Please email 2 Many Dogs Rescue for an adoption application if you are interested in adopting this pretty girl.
