Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ADOPTION APPLICATIONS FOR PUPPY 4 ARE ON HOLD UNTIL WE REVIEW THE APPLICATIONS ALREADY SUBMITTED. CHECK BACK WITH US LATER TO SEE IF PUPPY 4 IS STILL AVAILABLE.
Everyone has suffered in 2020 in one way or another because of the pandemic. Individuals have lost their job, lived in isolation, experienced the death of a loved one and the list goes on and on. One woman became homeless and began living in her car – along with her six small dogs, including two females that were pregnant and soon to give birth. The vehicle did not have air conditioning during the hottest part of the year in Southern California and it was more and more difficult to keep them healthy and fed. Realizing the danger the dogs were in, and with great sadness, she surrendered the dogs to AALOC.
We are happy to report Ladybug, one of the pregnant females, had her litter of four incredibly adorable puppies. Three puppies have already been adopted but there is one male puppy still available. He has plenty of nicknames like Fluff Ball, Snowball, Cutie, Pixie and more, but we are calling him Puppy 4 (male). We want the family that adopts this sweet dog to have the opportunity to name him themselves.
The dogs are terrier mixes and based on the size of Ladybug, the mama dog, and birth weights we believe the puppies will grow to small dog size, our best guess is 10-15 pounds max. In general, terriers are described as cheerful, alert and curious, outgoing and independent, with an average lifespan of 12-15 years. Something to consider: Raising a dog from a puppy has some special needs that more mature dogs don’t require. You’ll need to consider the cost of first-year vaccinations and investing time into training, socialization and potty training. Puppies also need plenty of stimulation and play, and take frequent naps.
Please submit an application at www.AALOC.org to adopt this little angel by indicating you are interested in Puppy 4. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Puppy 4 during visiting hours (10am to 3pm daily) and get to know him a bit.
Donation of $165 for dog adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit (in Orange County, CA). For more information on adoption policies visit our homepage at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail: aaloc@aaloc.org, or by phone (714) 893-4393.
