My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PENDING ADOPTION:
Sparky's person recently passed away. We have been keeping him since his owner went into the hospital.

Sparky is a Rat Terrier with Chihuahua and Dachshund. He's 15 lbs and 7 yrs old. He loves to be near people but is not an active dog. He's very sweet, calm, quiet, mild mannered, and well behaved. He is smart and learns quickly.

He lived in a small studio apartment in a retirement home where he did well. He is now staying in a large home with a large fenced-in back yard and lots of people and animals. So it appears that he is very adaptable! He gets along great with people and dogs. Not so sure about cats, but he is a terrier and it's in their nature to chase them and that's what he does when he sees ours.

Sparky will make a great companion for someone who is not very active (although he does love walks). He is used to sleeping in bed with his person. He really is a great dog!! Super easy and very sweet! Don't apply unless you plan to spoil him rotten!
