My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Parker was found on the streets in New Mexico. He was picked up by animal control and taken to a local shelter. He spent over 30 days at the shelter and no one came to claim this sweet boy. He scheduled for euthanasia when The Noah James Foundation saw him on Facebook and with the help of Friends of Roswell Animals (A local rescue group) we were able save him and have him transported to Denver to be placed in a foster home. This sweet boy is classified as a Pit Bull Mix and weighs about 40lbs. He is dog and kid friendly. We are working on leash skills and basic commands.. Parker is heart worm negative and up to date on his shots. He currently scheduled to be Neutered and microchipped December 19, 2020 and will be available for adoption as early as December 24, 2020.

We do not believe that Parker has ever had a real home, but despite his rough start he is a sweet boy and once you give him positive attention he just wants more. He would thrive in a home with at least one other dog or maybe a kid or two to play with during the day. At night he likes a cool, dark place to lay down and while he likes to cuddle he is also content laying in a comfy dog bed. Currently, his foster home has a door dog that allows him to go in and out as needed to go to bathroom and play outside. He is adapting well and would make a great companion to anyone willing to give this guy a chance.
