If you are looking for the perfect dog and best friend, then Bear is your guy. He loves all kinds of people and is up for anything you want to do. Bear loves to go anywhere including his monthly check-ups with his oncologist. Now that he is cancer free, he feels great and loves to be active. He recently hiked a strenuous, 4 mile trail in Shenandoah without ever slowing down. He also enjoys spending time playing in his fenced yard. Even with all of this energy, Bear is perfectly behaved in the house and is extremely obedient. He is very house-broken and easily learns the rules of the house. He is very eager to please his "person" and will sit by your side patiently waiting to play.
When alone, Bear stays in his room and sleeps in his crate without the door closed. He is not destructive and waits quietly until he is allowed to come out into the house. He has worked very hard to overcome his issues with other dogs. He is more willing to share his area and things. He still needs work so he would be best as the only dog. Dog savvy people with another dog would be considered if they are willing to continue to work on socializing. He likes to chase the cats in his foster home, but will only for a few feet and then loses interest.
Finally, Bear is the cutest little guy you will find. He loves to kiss and be kissed. Bear is always smiling and ready to cuddle in bed. He is the perfect guy to come home to after a rough day!
