Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Wesley is a quirky and charismatic guy. He is a 10 year old, 15 lb. fluffy arm full of love. His owner originally found him on a golf course as a kitten, so his origins are somewhat unknown, but he sure does exhibit the characteristics and looks of the Maine Coon breed so we assume he is a Maine Coon (mix.) Whatever his DNA, he is simply gorgeous.
He loves to lounge in sun patches and be brushed (his favorite brush, which he’s had since kittenhood, will come with him to his new home).
Wesley has a spot on his chest that when you scratch, he kicks his leg like a dog - it is just too cute. He is deeply loyal and friendly to those he loves, but does have stranger danger-shyness to those he doesn’t know. He is fluffy (but sheds in very convenient bigger pieces for easy clean up), has cute tufts of hair between his toes, and has an endearing squawk-meow that he’ll use to chat with you if you address him.
He is a great and loyal companion. His owner is devastated that circumstances aren’t allowing her to keep this lovely boy, so she has turned to rescue to find him a home filled with the love and adoration he deserves.
He hasn’t been around little children, so we would only recommend older, cat savvy children. Although he did live with another cat for several years, his current owner recommends that she should be an only cat.
He will NOT be okay with dogs, so we will only consider a home that does not have dogs, nor will consider getting a dog. Nothing against dogs, but Wesley has made it clear that he does not care for canines.
This big boy loves catnip and wine corks. He also loves the cat toy with the ball in the circular track (which will come with him to his new home).
As seems to be the case with most big kitties, he is not a lap cat but he does love to be petted. At night he likes to sleep at his current owner's feet so if you enjoy having a furry foot warmer, Wesley is your little guy!
As most cat owners know, cats are fastidious little creatures, and Wesley is no exception. He enjoys a pristine litter box and will come with a litter robot when he goes to his new home. This keeps the litter box always clean the way he likes it.
He had a recent vet checkup in September 2020.
