Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Located in Arkansas.
Peanut is a 7 month old male yorkie. He has had a bit of a rough start in life. He was purchased by a couple in their mid 70s who were not equipped to care for a puppy. After a while he became too active for them. He was never socialized and is scared of things now. He was then sold to a family with a large dog in the home and two kids ( ages 6 and 7). All the chaos and activity kept him scared and unsure of what to do. Later the large dog in the home came into heat (this is why we spay and neuter) so then he was put in another room. So because he was scared and they did not want him to breed the large dog they were convinced to surrender him to our care. He will be neutered this coming week and then the furever family selection can begin. We can not stress enough that he will need love, attention and patience to adjust to new environments. He already loves us and trusts us but that being said we are trained to understand canine behavior. He is still a PUPPY. They said he was crate trained and potty trained- he has since gone to the bathroom in his kennel everyday that he has been in our care. Also small dogs are very different to potty train than larger breeds. Please contact us if you are interested in caring for Peanut. We will go through the emails and see who appears to be a good fit and forward to our adoption coordinator. Understand that not emails will be answered as we get hundreds of them. If you choose to call please leave a voicemail or text. Our non profit is called Fund the Fur and we have a facebook page that we would love for you to follow.
