Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Iris has quite a story. It almost could be a Disney movie. One day I will write her story To sum it up quickly, and if you call for info I will fill in the whole story, but she has been on a miles long journey. She was a young mother, she raised her kittens they got adopted, she was shunned from her colony, lived in nice people's homes, was made into a barn cat, trapped, driven hours from home, landed eventually in a pound, and luckily we had chipped her as a young mother and were luckily enough to get a call from the pound on her and got her back. She's been back living in a fosters home and has made a connection again with people who care about her and loves to sleep in the bed. Now she's ready for her own permanent home. She'd be best off with a couple or single man in a smaller space like a bungalow or a apartment.
She got the name, "Iris" because she has a tiny freckle near her pupil and it makes her eye look mis shappen. She is very sweet with the right environment and that is our hope to find a person with compassion that will give her a little time and attention to allow her to settle into the sweet young mama she is. She might be okay in a home with a young female kitty or needy male. Children for her are out of the question. A mature, non smoking household is best.
