Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Champ!
Champ is currently fostered at The Dog Ranch, working on training, and basic commands. All dogs through our program are spayed and neutered, fully updated on routine vaccinations, microchipped and heartworm tested.
Here are some notes from his foster:
- He is an AMAZING dog in the car, he sits quietly and eventually lays down without a peep – he was totally content on a blanket in my trunk
- Crating him at night in my room was a breeze, he entered on his own and never whined in the morning to be let out. I would wake him up whenever I was ready.
- He did so well getting a first bath, that dog LIVES for having his head held close to you whenever he is stressed, it works every time.
- He would probably do better with a slow feeder, the kid can demolish a bowl of food in seconds, but it improved each day
- With consistency, he was walking without correction close to me on our walks, his leash training was easy (he had such a great start)!
- No accidents in his crate or in the home!
- Larger dogs definitely make him more nervous, he had some scary spats with our house dog, but only in times of stress (biggest stress: aggressive barking dogs at the fence, or dogs barking/howling outside when he’s inside – makes him super pacey/flighty)
